Follow the "yellow" (or the plantation brown) brick road

While Ken was in Belize(I had no contact with him for 8 days), I played contractor...don't worry all I did was order brick and communicate with the subs. They were very helpful and nice to me.

The day Ken left was the day I got the call that I needed to order brick...okay. I wasn't sure where Ken was even ordering his brick. I looked it up online and found Statesville Brick. Through many calls to the mason & Framer I learned some of the lingo and headed up there with Toby.

We 'got er done'. I picked it out, paid for it, & looked like I was completely clueless, but it must of worked because the brick showed up at the site the next day (Tues) (they told me it wouldn't be there until the end of the week)! You can see it on the garage and the bay window. I ordered 3 cubes--just enough for the garage and the bay window. Ken will have to order the rest.

Looking out of the garage. Finally the house has a garage. The basement has caused this house to move along more slowly--oh and the fact that this is Ken's first house that he has built.

plastic covering the basement wall that we--yes I mean WE-

(Ken, Joyce, Joe & Beth) painted with TAR.

Ta Da!!!! (what our 20 month old would say-only he would be on top of the roof saying it)
